Abstract

Perfluorinated resin solution is useful in proton exchange membrane fuel cell. At 270~280 ℃ and protected with N 2, the proton exchange membrane(Nafion 115) was dissolved in the dimethyl sulfoxide, and two kinds of membrane solutions were obtained. With those solutions, a recast membrane was prepared. The exchange capacity, rate of water content and conductivity of the recast membrane were measured. The results show that the properties of the recast membrane are lower than those of its mother membrane. This may be caused by that some sulfonic acid groups were destroyed in the dissolving process.
