Abstract
The weight loss measurement, potentiodynamic polarisation curves, Electrochemical Impedance Spectroscopy and Atomic Force Microscopy were used to evaluate the corrosion inhibition performance of MDOPD in simulated oilfield water. At the same time, the adsorption mechanism of MDOPD on Q235 steels was suggested. The experimental results show the effective corrosion inhibition in the simulated oilfield water. The MDOPD possessesseveral nitrogen atoms as adsorption centres, which has higher active energy at metal surface and has more effective protection function.
