Abstract

Surface enhanced Raman spectroscopy (SERS) has been used to study the electrochemical coadsorption of thiourea (TU), 1-methy1-2-thiourea (MTU) and 1-allyl-2-thiourea (ATU) at silver electrodes in solutions containing perchloric acid. These species are parallelly coadsorbed on the surface. The muntual interactions of the coadsorbates are weaker than the interactions with the silver surface. The physically induced coadsorption of ClO4- by the above sppecies was also studied in detail.
