Abstract
The formation, classification, applications and iontransport mechanism studies of solid polymer electrolytes were reviewed. While the recent SPE reports on the preparation of novel materials, the full structure determinations of PEO/salt complexes, the exploration of iontransport mechanism and the applications in electrochemical devices being introduced, some prospects on the future SPE research were suggested. 84 references were quoted.
