Abstract
There exists a transition current density of Zn when the normal co_deposition of Zn_Ni alloys at chloride baths turns to anomalous type. The value increases with Cl - concentration, but is independent of pH, this is because the existence of Cl - decreases the evolution overpotential of Ni metal and has a catalytic effect on it.
